'hand assembled watch' Review by Nicholas Price

this 300m is an excellent watch and I love it. Its assembled in Japan by a watchmaker and not some robot doing what its programmed to do without knowing if there are any problems with the watch. It's just a well made watch and you can definitely see and feel the quality.

'Tank like diver' Review by Patrick Olsson
Rating
This tank-ish diver seems like it has armor. Its definitely durable and has a nice big case to it. I gain about 11 seconds a day which is really good for an automatic, especially for a Japanese movement. Swiss this, swiss that... I am not spending thousands of dollars more for 3-5 more seconds of accuracy. Not much in quality difference and feel compared to the Omega's Seamaster. I wish I knew about Orient sooner...

'ACCURACY' Review by Aaron Smith
Rating
Sometimes people complain of poor accuracy. Typically, when new, automatic movements will be set to run fast at the factory because they tend to slow down after a few weeks of use. I own three Orient watches with an automatic movement and after their breaking in period all are now keeping time to within 10 seconds per day.
I have a few thoughts on accuracy. You have to ask yourself how accurate does your watch need to be? If it is running 10 or 20 seconds fast per day then set it one minute slow and you will only need to re-set it once every week or two when it has advanced to one minute fast. If you need more accuracy then, unless you are willing to pay at least five times as much for a swiss watch, then buy a quartz. Orient Mako has good time accuracy, especially for the price you pay.

'Beastly and Beautiful' Review by JD
Rating
do not be deterred by my 4 star rating, this watch is beautiful and massive, with a lot of bling factor as well, while keeping it classy. The only think I don't like is the diving adjustment of the bracelet, its pretty thick, and can be a bit uncomfortable when typing at a computer because of your wrist resting on it. This watch will get compliments from watch people, but it does get annoying with people asking if its a rolex

'Well built Diver Watch' Review by Brian
Rating
I have owned the Orient 300m CFD0C001B for 2 weeks and continue to be impressed by the overall beauty and quality of this watch. I did my homework prior to purchasing this watch and knew what I was getting but it has far exceeded my expectations. The power reserve is a fantastic feature that I find more useful than I expected. The new movement is keeping beautiful time within -1 seconds per day. The watch is built like a tank and is finished nicely. Quality through and through. I can't say enough about this watch. I would put this watch up against any of the high end swiss divers and it's a fraction of the price. If you're considering buying a saturation diver, look no more. This is the watch....Love it!

'truly superlative timepiece' Review by Kevin
Rating
The Orient Diver 300m is a truly superlative automatic watch. This is Orient's top of the line watch and everything about it shows how much better it is compared to the other Orients.

Key points of distinction are:

1) A very finely adjusted movement. Mine is accurate to well within 1-2 seconds a day, which is amazing to say the least. COSC (Officially Certified Swiss Chronometer) standards call for -4 to +6 seconds/day and very few Swiss watches are actually officially certified to meet that standard.

2) A monster of a case. The case is big, heavy and will no doubt provide the protection that the movement requires under extreme depth, rated to 300 meters (990 feet).

3) A high-quality steel bracelet. This bracelet has unique pins for sizing; don't try it yourself unless you're an exert. The watch also comes with a rubber strap for diving purists.

4) Power reserve indicator. This is a high-end feature and is quite rare even among high-priced Swiss watches.

Compared to a Rolex Submariner, the Orient 300m is more substantial, more accurate and more distinctive in appearance. On top of all that, this is a true manufacture calibre with all parts, including movement produced in-house. Finally Orient Watch USA provides excellent support for their products from Los Angeles.
